I started skiing competitively when I was in 7th grade. Since then, I have accomplished more than my younger self ever could have imagined. I qualified for Junior Nationals my very first year, and over time, I went from earning a few top-ten finishes to standing on the podium. Last year, I became a two-time national champion, something I never would have imagined when I first started skiing!
Beyond Junior Nationals, I began competing at U.S. Nationals, where I qualified for the Scando Cup in Sweden as a first-year U18. The following year, I qualified again, this time traveling to Norway, where I earned a top-ten finish against some incredible international competition.
Today, I am skiing for the Division I Nordic ski team at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I continue to work toward my goals and dreams. Looking back at how far I’ve come, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities that have helped me get here.
None of this would have been possible without the National Nordic Foundation (NNF).
Through NNF’s support, I have had the opportunity to travel across the world, compete against some of the best young skiers, and gain experiences that have helped me grow both as an athlete and as a person. These trips have pushed me to become a better skier and shown me what is possible with hard work, dedication, and the right support.
I know firsthand how much of a difference NNF can make in a young athlete’s career, and I want other athletes to have the same amazing opportunities that I have been fortunate enough to experience.
