My name is Ethan Maines, and I am a U.S. Nordic Combined athlete. This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to compete in a Youth Cup in Oberstdorf, Germany, while training in Europe with the U.S. Development Team. During the trip, we will train in Slovenia, Italy, Austria, and Germany.

This is a huge opportunity for my athletic development. Europe is home to many of the world's best Nordic Combined athletes and facilities, giving me the chance to train on larger, world-class ski jumps and compete against top international athletes. These experiences will help me improve my ski jumping technique, cross-country skiing, and overall performance as I continue working toward competing at the highest level.

Nordic Combined is one of the most demanding sports in the world, combining ski jumping and cross-country skiing into a single event. Reaching the international level requires years of dedication, discipline, and sacrifice. I've spent countless early mornings training, traveled across the country to compete, and worked hard every day to earn opportunities like this.

However, no athlete reaches this level alone. International travel, training camps, equipment, lodging, and competition expenses add up quickly. Your support will help make this trip possible and allow me to continue pursuing my dream of representing the United States on the world stage.
