The United States is the only nation ranked in the top ten in the world (4th) that receives no government funding for cross-country skiing. But we have a secret weapon: It is us.
Because of your generosity, the NNF invested over $300,000 last year to provide training and racing opportunities for more than 200 athletes outside the U.S. Ski Team’s funded A and B Teams.
Our goal at the NNF is simple: no hardworking athlete should have to leave cross-country skiing because of financial barriers. While these 200 athletes outwork their competition every day, nothing is handed to them. Instead, they team up with the NNF to take ownership of their path, which includes helping with fundraising. In doing so, they learn the value of each dollar and just how hard it is to earn one. And that is why they appreciate you so deeply.
